MATCH PREVIEW

Inverloch-Kongwak’s best side is starting to take shape at the right part of the season and today’s result should be a win to the Sea Eagles.

IK’s slow start to the season was a result a massive player unavailability, and now with some of those first choice players slotting back into the team, the formidable side now looks primed to take on the competition’s best.

While Kilcunda-Bass has showed a lot of fight and promise in recent weeks, the hosts may find their opponents to steep a hill to climb.

CORA LYNN v WARRAGUL INDUSTRIALS

Where is it being played?: Cora Lynn Rec Reserve

MATCH PREVIEW

Cora Lynn will look to bounce back from last week’s loss and consolidate second spot on the ladder with a win over Warragul Industrials.

The Cobras still sit a game clear in second despite recent losses and with two rounds to go, are unlikely to be willing to give any ground.

The Dusties are coming off a massive loss to Phillip Island and to back up against Cora Lynn is going to a job of Everest sized proportions.

GARFIELD v DALYSTON

Where is it being played?: Garfield Rec Reserve

MATCH PREVIEW

Two games to go and Garfield’s goose was cooked with their loss to Nar Nar Goon last week. The Stars will now come up against an up-and-about Dalyston side who are looking to add to their wins tally for the season.

An injury to premiership star Brad Fisher won’t help Dalyston’s cause, but may be motivated by this round’s Towards Zero campaign, which will hit close to the clubs’ heart after this season’s tragedy earlier in the year.

For Hayden Stanton’s troops, they will look to make amends on a season full of promise that while ultimately have failed to deliver upon with an honourable win.

KOO WEE RUP v BUNYIP

Where is it being played?: Koo Wee Rup Rec Reserve

MATCH PREVIEW

There is plenty on the line in this game and while the neutral observer may suggest Koo Wee Rup need to win this more, in reality it is a must win for both clubs.

Indeed, should the Demons drop this game there race for a finals spot is over, but should they win they are back in the hunt. Expect Jason Wells and Darren Sheen to play a factor in the outcome of this match either way.

For the Bulldogs, a lose here could see them slide out of the top five, making next week’s Round 18 clash all the more important to win.

KORUMBURRA-BENA v NAR NAR GOON

Where is it being played?: Korumburra Showgrounds

MATCH PREVIEW

It’s season on the line for Nar Nar Goon as they come up against a plucky Korumburra-Bena outfit.

The Giants failed to get over the line against Dalyston in a low scoring affair last week which was a game they would’ve have internally wanted to win. Korumburra still have the ability to upset some mid tier sides like NNG, and may upset the apple cart if they can get over the line.

For the Goon, it’s do or die time. Competing for the coveted fifth spot on the ladder, the Saveloys need to win this if they are any hope of sneaking into finals contention.

TOORADIN-DALMORE v PHILLIP ISLAND

Where is it being played?: Tooradin Rec Reserve

MATCH PREVIEW

The juggeraut that is Phillip Island appears to be an unstoppable locomotive, but could today be the day it is derailed?

An up and about Tooradin-Dalmore side would like to think so, and outside of Cora Lynn there appears to be no other side that looks likely to do so. The Seagulls will be buoyed by the recent re-signing of coach Lachie Gillespie and riding off a big win against finals aspirant Koo Wee Rup last week.

Phillip Island will not be deterred though, led by likely B&F incumbent Cam Pedersen and his band of merry men. Beau Vernon’s look settled and fit and will be a force to be reckoned with for the remainder of the season.

Its getting towards the end of the season, so its time to start entering your votes in to Sports Vote Count. A comprehensive and fully functional vote count and presentation program all in one, now with video capabilities.
