PRELIMINARY FINAL REVIEW – LINDENOW SOUTH V SWIFTS CREEK

Lindenow South will not get their shot at redemption from last year’s Grand Final loss after falling to Swifts Creek by 35 points.

Fresh after a week off, the Demons jumped out of the blocks early, taking a 16 point lead into quarter time.

The Swampies outscored their opponents in the second term 3.4 to 2.2, but it wasn’t enough to take the lead heading into the main break.

A high scoring third term saw Swifts Creek extend their lead again. The Demons piled on 5.5 while Lindenow South managed 4.0. All of a sudden the margin had blown back out to 19 points at 3/4 time.

From there the Swampies were gone, only kicking four behinds while the Demons tacked on 3.2 to their final tally.

Swifts Creek were well serviced in front of goal with Jesse Hack kicking 5 goals and Damian Tubb snagging 3 of his own. Brenton Kuch lead the charge in his side’s win.

For Lindenow South, Max Solomon and Ashley Hood kicked 4 goals each in their side’s total of 9 goals. Ben Lawrence was named best for the Swampies.
