Warragul Drouin Gazette: Dusties aiming for top six
OUR TWO CENTS:
Cora Lynn will travel down to Inverloch in the hope they can bounce back to overcome the Sea Eagles who are yet to drop a game. But the Cobras’ momentum has been brought to a halt after their loss to Phillip Island last week and the home side will be keen to keeping their winning streak going.
Warragul Industrials are back in the mix after defeated the Stars in an undermanned side and will look to press their claims further against Kilcunda Bass. The Panthers will have their own ideas, however, as a win at home also does their top six chances now harm.
After a strong start to the season, Dalyston’s form has come to a grinding halt after only winning one of the last four games. They will come up against a hungry Nar Nar Goon outfit who will be looking to put some distance between themselves and the other teams hovering around the bottom end of the top six.
Koo Wee Rup and Garfield are in similar situations form wise and should provide a decent contest.
In the remaining two games, Phillip Island and Tooradin Dalmore will go in as unbackable favourites against Korumburra Bena and Bunyip respectively.

Warragul Drouin Gazette: Can Magpies challenge undefeated Lyrebirds?
OUR TWO CENTS:
Poowong’s next test will come against a well drilled Buln Buln side. The Lyrebirds will enter the contest as favourites but will be wary of the up and coming Magpies.
Yarragon and Longwarry go head-to-head for bragging rights as both sides appear to be a bit far off the pace of the top 4-5 sides.
Lang Lang will attempt to keep their top five chances alive against fourth placed Trafalgar. The Tigers have started to get some key players back will be looking to topple the Bloods who only sit four points behind second place on the ladder.
In the other two games, Ellinbank and Neerim South will go in as heavy favourites against Nilma Darnum and Catani respectively.

Bairnsdale Advertiser: Available via subscription only
OUR TWO CENTS:
Sale will hope to upset Leongatha at home with a plan to distance themselves from the teams trying to leapfrog in fifth position on the ladder, but the Parrots have proven they are hard to beat anywhere.
If the Magpies drop this game, Bairnsdale have an opportunity to jump into the top five, but they will have to do it against a firing Moe team who have the same enviable record as the Parrots.
Morwell will go in as favourites against Warragul. A win to the Tigers also keeps them in touch with the top five.

Warragul Drouin Gazette: Blues face toughest challenge
OUR TWO CENTS:
Can Thorpdale make it six in a row against the league Leaders? Newborough will be tough to beat and it could spell the end of the Blues’ streak, but it will be a good litmus test to see where Thorpy rate amongst the best.
A few local rivalries will be on show this Saturday, with Foster taking on Toora and MDU hosting Stony Creek. The Tigers will be expected to account for their counterparts. While on paper the Demons and Lions seem a far way apart, Stony have been on the improve, while Meeniyan have been known to have the odd off day.
Morwell East vs Tarwin shapes as probably the most interesting game of the round. Both sit in similar positions, but the road there has been different for both. With either side sitting outside the top six, both will be keen to get their seasons back on track.
Hill End are yet to lodge a win this season and will be hoping it comes against an under achieving Boolarra. But the Demons will have an eye on getting their season back on track, and there is no better way than banking a win against the bottom side.
Mirboo North will go in as underdogs against a Yinnar attack quietly going about their business.

Gippsland Times: East Gippy action back this Saturday
Bairnsdale Advertiser: Available via subscription only
OUR TWO CENTS:
The EGFNL currently sits in an exciting position where second place and fifth place all sit on 20 points each, and there are two games which will help reshape the top five.
Orbost Snowy Rovers will be the latest side to attempt overthrow ladder leader Wy Yung. The Tigers have been irrepressible so far and this game should be a good indicator as to whether OSR have what it takes to match it with the best.
Boisdale Briagolong and Lucknow emerge as the match of the round. Both sides are evenly matched and should provide a good contest.
Lindenow will be looking for it’s second win against a Lakes Entrance outfit that will be keen to separate themselves from bottom sides.
Paynesville will go in as underdogs when they host the in-form Stratford.

In a league that has a clear division between the top three and the bottom three, all of the top sides take on the bottom sides – with the former going in heavy favourites. But in a bid not to be made to look silly, this league also throws up the odd upset, so don’t be surprised if this happens.
