Omeo-Benambra made short work of Bruthen in their knockout semi final, winning by 76 points.
The Alpine Ranges flew out of the gates early and left the Bulldogs in their wake, leading by 27 points at the first break and keeping the reigning premiers goalless in the first term.
The second term was just a brutal for Bruthen. They managed just the one major, while their opponents added another 6 goals to lead by 60 points at half time.
The third quarter was a bit more of an even affair, though Omeo-Benambra remained on top of the Bulldogs carrying a 64 point lead into the last quarter.
The Mountain Men continued their dominance after the final break, kicking 4.6 to 3 straight in a display that could of seen them win by more had they have kicked straight.
Brandon Betts lead the way on the field for the victors and was well supporting by the likes of Ross Ansaldi and Trent Heesom.
For Bruthen, Rodney Johnson was a shining light on an otherwise dark day.
Omeo-Benambra now advance to the Preliminary Final and will meet the loser of this week’s 2nd Semi Final between Lindenow South and Swifts Creek.
