OUR TWO CENTS:
Match of the round goes to the broadcast game between Churchill and Yallourn Yallourn North. Word is the Cougars have some timely ins and will be looking to put a two game gap between themselves and the Jets. YYN, on the other hand, will be hoping to sneak into third place with a win, considering their percentage is superior to their opponents.
Yarram will want to keep their finals chances alive when they face Sale City. The Demons find themselves a game plus percentage out of the top five and need a win to stay in the race. The Bulldogs have remained mid-tier all year, beating all below them but none above them. They do have the capability to cause an upset, though.
Rosedale and Cowwarr play for pride in a battle of 8th vs 9th. The Blues have shown signs of improvement despite their youth, while the Saints have struggled again this year. Back in Round 6, Cowwarr came back from 29 points down at 3/4 time for a draw.
In other games, Heyfield should bounce back against Gormandale after being trounced by TTU the week before, while Glengarry will go in as the heavy underdog against premiership favourite TTU.

OUR TWO CENTS:
Some big games this weekend that will help shape the final four with two games left in the season.
Wy Yung will travel down to Orbost confident to take the win, but the Snowy boys will throw everything at them in a bid to keep their spot on the ladder.
Lucknow, who are sitting 5th on percentage, must win against Boisdale Briagolong if they want to leapfrog OSR into the top four. But the Bombers will have their own ideas, with a win securing them second spot regardless of their result in the last round.
Lindenow, who have shown some better form in the latter half of the year, will be keen to jump back off the bottom of the ladder when they host Lakes Entrance. The Seagulls have had a year to forget, but will be buoyed by their win against Paynesville last week.
Stratford will go in as heavy favourites against Paynesville. The Swans should be too good for the Gulls who lost valiantly last week. The home side will also be hoping Lucknow come away with a win against their bitter rivals, the Bombers, in the hope they can have a shot at finishing second next week.

ELIMINATION FINAL
Bruthen vs Buchan – Bruthen Rec Reserve

OUR TWO CENTS:
It’s do or die when Bruthen meet Buchan in the first elimination final on Saturday.
Bruthen are coming off two losses, in fact their last win was three weeks ago against the depleted Swan Reach. The week before that, they had defeated Buchan by eight points.
Buchan will be riding high after their massive thrashing against Swan Reach in the last round, however, the Cavemen had lost the last four games prior to that – only just holding onto fourth spot.
Both sides have met three times this season, with the ledger being two wins to one in favour of Bruthen. Both of the Bulldogs’ wins were played at their home ground by 11 & 8 points respectively, while the Cavemen won their clash at their home ground by 44 points. Their bout in Round 2 saw Buchan lead all day, only to see their opponents kick five goals to one in the last term to get over the line at the final siren.
With the game being played at Bruthen, the Dogs appear to have the slight advantage. Buchan have challenged most in front of them when they have majority of their first choice players available, but when they don’t they have been exposed at times. With player coach Chris Mathers notching game 150, his troops will be keen for a win.
If this year’s results have shown anything, this should be a close encounter.
