MATCH PREVIEW
It’s the last hurrah for these sides in this battle of the Creeks to see who meets Foster next week in the big dance.
Fish Creek will be a bit fresher with the week off, but the return of Kael Bergles to the Lions last week will be an important addition and add firepower to their forward line.
The Kangaroos will be looking for repeat performances from the likes of Jordan Shaw – who kicked 9 goals against Toora – and Travis Manne who dominated in the ruck. They will likely look to apply a high pressure game plan which saw them score heavily against their opposition, attacking from half back.
Lions coach Scott Anderson will be comforted by the fact that his trooped pushed the league leaders all the way to the end last week. They will be looking to limit the amount of turnovers Fish Creek can capitalise on which hurt them against Foster. The usual suspects of Darcy Atkins, Dylan Zuidema and Hayden Egerton will play important roles in Stony’s quest for success.
Last time these two sides met was in Round 11 at Terrill Park, which saw Fish Creek victorious by 21 points. Remarkably, if Fish Creek win, they will have their chance to win their fourth premiership in a row against Foster.
