1ST SEMI FINAL MATCH PREVIEW – WY YUNG V LINDENOW
Wy Yung will take on Lindenow at Bairnsdale on Saturday.
Lindenow have had a big string of wins in the second half of the season, with their win against ladder leaders Stratford last week keeping Boisdale-Briagolong out of the finals race to finish fourth.
Wy Yung have been floating around the 2nd-5th mark for majority of the season, locking in their current position after Round 17.
The winner will advance to next week’s Preliminary Final against the loser of Stratford and Lakes Entrance, while the side finding themselves without the winning score will find themselves planning Mad Monday celebrations earlier than they hoped.
The Tigers lead 2-1 on the wins ledger in their three encounters with the Tigers this year, with their most recent clash in Round 17 clash being a 23-point margin in favour of Lindenow.
Lindenow’s form going into this game is desirable for them, with their only loss in the last five games against Lakes Entrance in Round 15.
Wy Yung’s form has been patchy recently. The Tigers won five games in a row from Round 9-13, but have only managed two wins since then.
