Traralgon Tyers United managed to hold off a valiant Cowwarr outfit on Saturday, 11.6 (72) to 9.8 (62).

The Bombers appeared to have the upper hand in the opening term, holding the Saints to a single goal while adding four of their own to lead by 20 points at the first break.

Unperturbed, Cowwarr fought back in the second to win the quarter, four goals to three, to etch the deficit back to 12 points at half-time.

The visitors’ experience came to the fore in the second half as they held off a resurgent Saints side to win by 10 points.

Guy Sinclair finished with three goals for the Bombers, Jacob Albanese two and singles went to six others.

Among the best for TTU in the win were Jordan Collopy, Sinclair and Luke Middleton.

MATCH REVIEW

Glengarry were no match for Sale City, the Bulldogs remaining one of two undefeated sides in the North Gippsland league senior competition with a cruisy win on Saturday, 13.18 (96) to 6.2 (38).

Nick Grainger was the difference with a bag of six goals to take his season tally to 15 while Jacob Schuback kicked two and singles went to five others.

The Magpies' fate appeared sealed by half-time as they found themselves 25 points in the red which ballooned to 60 points at the last change.

Schuback and Grainger were among the best for the Bulldogs in the win, as were Brad McKay and Justin McLay.

MATCH REVIEW

Gormandale continued on an unenviable run of whopping defeats, this time at the hands of Heyfield by 152 points on Saturday, 23.23 (161) to 1.3 (9).

The Tigers' only goal for the game came in the third term when the Roos already had 18 on the board.

Shaun Humphreys was one of 12 players to feature on the scoreboard for Heyfield in the giant win with six while Jack Woodland kicked three and Matt Bedggood, Charlie Driffield, Joel Dinsdale and Jess Bedgood each kicked two.

Among the best for the Roos were Kodie Woodland, Humphreys and Brad Berry.

Jereme Lazaris kicked the lone goal for Gormandale.

MATCH REVIEW

Defending premiers Yarram bounced back from consecutive defeats to return to their familiar place on the winner's list after a win over Rosedale in round four, 12.6 (78) to 7.9 (51).

The Demons did most of the damage in the third term when they piled on six goals to the Blues' one to set themselves up with a 32-point buffer heading into the last quarter.

Daniel Vardy and Ben Vardy combined to lead Yarram to the win with four goals and three goals, respectively, while Griffin Underwood and Jake McFarland chipped in with two each and Jarryd Swift one. Will Logan was the only multiple goal scorer for Rosedale with two and singles went to five others.

Among the best for Yarram in the win were Liam Farley, Louis Rodaughan and Underwood.

MATCH REVIEW

Churchill kept pace with Sale City to remain the only other undefeated team in the competition after four rounds with a commanding 83-point win over Woodside on the road, 19.26 (140) to 9.3 (57).

The Cougars held the home side at arm's length for the whole game but saved their best for last with a seven-goal final term.

Ben Kearns was at his indomitable best and finished with six goals while coach Chris Williams bagged four and Brendan Holt, Blake Slater and Jordan Fenech kicked two apiece.
