MATCH PREVIEW

This season has been somewhat of a baptism of fire for the Breakers. It has been well documented that their best players from last season have gone on to play at higher levels, which has affected the club’s firepower.

Having said all of the that, their clash against Mornington provides them with their next best opportunity for another win on the board. Bass Coast currently sit on the bottom of the division one ladder, while their opponents for this round sit second bottom, with just the one more win for the season.

The Breakers and the Bulldogs met in Round 2 this year and it was a 23 point win in favour of Mornington, but Bass Coast will be out to even the ledger.

Sophie Bolding, Hannah Mills, Ella Angarane and Lucy Vernon continue to be key parts in the side’s success, while Tayla Tatterson who has come boasting VFLW experience, has boosted the Breakers line up.

DIVISION THREE

WARRAGUL v Karingal

Where is it being played?: Western Park, Warragul

What time is the game scheduled to start?: 12:00pm

MATCH PREVIEW

What a masterstroke relegating the side to division three has been.

Warragul now find themselves in finals contention, winning their last five games, after losing their first five.

Coach Shane Ingham has his women’s team firing on all cylinders and this game against Karingal will be their next big test. A win here could see them catapault themselves into the top four, which seemed an unlikely scenario 6 weeks ago. The Dusties scalps have included 2nd placed Frankston Bombers and 4th placed Red Hill. They also pushed ladder leaders Pakenham to the final siren who are currently undefeated.

Jenna Robertson has been in top form, particularly in the last two games, and has been valuable in front of goal. She has been well supported by the likes of Teagan Hume and Rhiannah Bicchierai, all of whom will likely play an important part in their upcoming clash with the Bulls.

Its getting towards the end of the season, so its time to start entering your votes in to Sports Vote Count. A comprehensive and fully functional vote count and presentation program all in one, now with video capabilities.
