MATCH PREVIEW

Bunyip will go in as heavy favourites against Killy Bass in a must win game for the Bulldogs.

Currently sitting in fifth spot on percentage, this a game the Yips cannot afford to lose. While the Panthers have shown plenty of spirit in the latter half of the season which has resulted in a few hard earned wins for the club, the grunt and determination of the home side should be too much for the visitors to overcome.

PHILLIP ISLAND v WARRAGUL INDUSTRIALS

MATCH PREVIEW

Premiership favourites Phillip Island will go in as unbackable favourites against Warragul Industrials in this game.

There has been many occasions this year where the Dusties have struggled to put up a decent score and against the quality of this Doggies outfit, they will likely struggle again.

The home side will have many stars that the Dusties will need to quell the influence of if they plan to get near them down at Cowes.

DALYSTON v KORUMBURRA-BENA

Where is it being played?: Dalyston Rec Reserve

What time is the seniors game scheduled to start?: 2:00pm

With the return of former AFL star Brad Fisher, Dalyston will be looking to come away with their second win of the season against Korumburra-Bena.

It’s been a hard year for the Magpies so far both on and off the field, but are well placed to put up a fight against a young and enthusiastic Giants side.

On the other side of the coin, Paul Alger’s troops will look at this game internally as one they should win, but they will need to earn it against their hungry opponents.

INVERLOCH-KONGWAK v CORA LYNN

Where is it being played?: Inverloch Rec Reserve

MATCH PREVIEW

Two weeks after their only loss of the season, Cora Lynn have looked vulnerable for the first time this season. They did put Nar Nar Goon to the sword last week early, but allowed an 8-goal to three behind last quarter against the Goon which ultimately flattered the visitors, but it happened none the less.

Inverloch-Kongwak are sit on top of three teams on 36 points for the year and slot in 4th position on the ladder currently. A loss at home to the Cobras could see them potentially drop out of the top 5 this week.

Regardless of the result, these two teams have had a great rivalry in the last two years. Hopefully this match will add to what has already been played out.

NAR NAR GOON v GARFIELD

MATCH PREVIEW

A must win for both clubs if they are hoping to have any chance of playing finals this year.

More so for Garfield who have slid off the pace, but a win to the Stars keeps their season alive – just.

The Goon have struggled recently despite a great win against an in-form Koo Wee Rup a few weeks ago. Their inconsistency may be their undoing come the end of the season.

TOORADIN-DALMORE v KOO WEE RUP

Where is it being played?: Tooradin Rec Reserve

MATCH PREVIEW

In what promises to be an absolute cracker, Tooradin-Dalmore will look to lock up third spot on the ladder with an eye on 2nd, while Koo Wee Rup need these four points to jump back into the top 5.

The Seagulls have had a mostly consistent season and look the main contenders to upset the likes of Grnd Final favourites Phillip Island and Cora Lynn, but have shown that when other sides out up a fight, can be susceptible under pressure.

The Demons had a fantastic middle part of the season, helped by the goal kicking prowess of forward duo Jason Wells and Darren Sheen. A couple of recent results have dropped them back in the pack and now every win becomes vitally important. Koo Wee Rup currently sit in 6th spot on the ladder and if they finish this game with a win, they cold potentially walk away from this Round sitting in 4th.

Its getting towards the end of the season, so its time to start entering your votes in to Sports Vote Count. A comprehensive and fully functional vote count and presentation program all in one, now with video capabilities.
