Wy Yung have a chance to go at least a game clear with a win against Boisdale-Briagolong this weekend. The Tigers’ only loss was to Lakes by two points and have had comfortble wins against Lucknow and Lindenow. Apart from Round 1, Wy Yung have had a great spread of goal kickers and have not been reliant on a spearhead to kick their goals for them. Stratford have returned as a powerhouse this season and are currently sitting pretty at the top of the ladder, undefeated. They have not been tested since Round one however, delivering thumpings to Orbost-Snowy Rovers & Paynesville, who shape to be bottom four teams this season. The Cats are not the same team they were in the previous three years, but it would be a mistake to write them off. Players to watch are Jack Bacon, Regan Tait, Patrick Gordon, Lewis Bolton and Nathan Pollard.
Lindenow have seemed a shadow of their former selves this season and will be keen to get their year back on track with a win against the Swans. Their only win so far has come against Paynesville and their losses have been large margins against other teams in the top 4.
