MATCH PREVIEW

It will take a miracle for Tarwin to make finals at this stage of the season, despite it being mathematically possible. If they make it happen, the Sharks will need to jump Stony Creek this round.

The Lions have been underwhelming recently despite consolidating a spot into the top four, but if Tarwin can field as close to full strength side as possible, Stony are in danger of dropping this game, which they can ill afford two weeks away from finals beginning.

The visitors will be looking to recapture some of their early season form and put the home side to the sword in an effort to carry some good form into the final round next week and cement their spot in the final four. A win today could see Stony Creek put themselves in the box seat for a spot in 2nd on the ladder and a double chance semi final.

MATCH PREVIEW

Outside of Foster, Fish Creek are currently the most in form team of the competition and are seemingly coming home with a wet sail. The question is, can they match it with the likes of the juggernaut which is this year’s clear premiership favourite Foster?

The Kangaroos have hit their straps at the right time of the season and sit outright 2nd on the ladder, a win clear and plenty of percentage ahead of Stony Creek. But the boys from Terrill Park will not have it easy against the Tigers. The visitors are clean, quick and strong with plenty of firepower up forward and goal kicking mid fielders. Brad Rooney’s men will be making it in their best interests to further distance themselves from the rest of the pack with a win on the road.

TOORA v MEENIYAN DUMBALK UNITED

MATCH PREVIEW

An intriguing battle may play itself out here. 2 wins seperate the two sides, but MDU have shown vast improvement from last year and on their day look like they can take almost anyone on.

Toora on the other hand have started to fall off the edge of the map, with injuries/player losses taking its toll after the mid way point of the season. A loss to the Magpies at home might be the tipping point that sees them potentially drop out of the top four should the lose to MDU and Stony Creek next week. However, in order for that to happen MDU need to win this game and beat the in form Fish Creek next week.

Odds are Toora will scrape in to the finals despite the result this round, but the Pies must defeat the Demons to consolidate that place. If MDU jump the home side early, the smell of blood in the air might be enough to get the visitors over the line.

Its getting towards the end of the season, so its time to start entering your votes in to Sports Vote Count. A comprehensive and fully functional vote count and presentation program all in one, now with video capabilities.
