Scans today confirmed the worst possible news for veteran Gippsland Power product and Collingwood premiership defender Tyson Goldsack.
There was no obvious incident that cause the injury, as it was not revealed until after the JLT match in Moe against Western Bulldogs that an issue had arisen. Goldsack went for scans on Monday 12th and it was confirmed the 30 year old has torn his ACL and will miss the entire 2018 season, assuming he opts for a traditional knee reconstruction.
He joins fellow Gippsland natives Sam Docherty on the sidelines who also ruptured an ACL in a training incident earlier this year, and Sam Skinner who tore an ACL last season.
