West Coast Eagles have revealed Nathan Vardy has had a setback in his recovery from groin injury from March 3rd. He now has an adductor issue and his expected time on the sidelines has now blown out to 6-8 more weeks.

“With Nathan Vardy and that adductor, it’s probably a little worse than we anticipated. He’s doing everything right in terms of his rehab and recovery, but we’re thinking it’s longer term than we originally suspected through no fault of anybody.”

Football Manager, West Coast Eagles

He joins fellow Gippsland players Sam Docherty, Sam Skinner and Tyson Goldsack who have extended periods off with injury.
