AFL Victoria has confirmed that it is planning a meeting in November this year involving all of Victoria’s country leagues and commissions.
But the organisation has denied it is in response to the recent meetings held at Bungaree, where leagues and clubs gathered to discuss the current status of football in the bush.
A second meeting at Bungaree occurred on Sunday, following an initial meeting in February.
Football administration and affiliation agreements were two of the focal points for discussion.
The Picola and District Football League, which is currently not affiliated with AFL Victoria, also gave a presentation on its situation at Sunday’s meeting.
